Deliveries on the rise

Between January and September 2026, Airbus delivered 547 commercial aircraft, up from 507 a year earlier. Breakdown by family:

Family Deliveries, 9M 2026
A220 68
A320 Family (A319neo, A320neo, A321neo…) 428
A330 13
A350 38

The single-aisle A320 Family therefore accounts for nearly eight deliveries in ten.

A year-end sprint

The manufacturer confirms it is aiming for around 870 deliveries in 2026, which would be a record. That leaves some 323 aircraft to deliver between October and December. This back-loaded profile is usual for Airbus, but it means storing aircraft and parts until delivery, which weighs on cash.

Orders keep coming

Over nine months, Airbus booked 1,105 net orders (1,174 gross), twice as many as a year earlier. Its backlog stands at 9,310 aircraft at the end of September, more than ten years of production at the current pace.

To meet demand, Airbus plans to build 70 to 75 A320s a month by the end of 2027, 12 A350s a month in 2028 and 13 A220s a month in 2028.

The financials

Revenue reached €50.6 billion (+7%) and net income €3.6 billion. Integrating some of the plants of former US supplier Spirit AeroSystems cost €235 million over the period.

Key points

  • 547 aircraft delivered in nine months (+40 year on year).
  • 2026 target maintained: around 870 deliveries.
  • Record backlog of 9,310 aircraft.
